The First Day of Spring – The Beginning of a New Season
The first day of spring begins on March 20. This day is special because it marks the spring equinox – when day and night are approximately the same length. For many people, it symbolizes a new beginning, the awakening of nature, and the return of warmer days.
After the long winter, nature slowly comes back to life. Trees begin to bud, the first flowers such as snowdrops and crocuses appear in the meadows, and the days grow longer. The sun shines more often and its rays begin to feel warmer. People spend more time outdoors, going for walks, playing sports, or working in their gardens.
Spring is also a season of change and new energy. Many of us clean our homes, air out our rooms, and prepare for the warmer part of the year. This tradition is often called spring cleaning. At the same time, people’s moods begin to change – with the arrival of sunshine, there is usually more joy, optimism, and motivation for new activities.
The first day of spring reminds us that after every winter comes a new season full of life. It is a time when nature renews itself and when people can also start something new, set new goals, and enjoy the beauty of the awakening landscape.
Map of the Czech Republic
Spring is the perfect time to discover new places. Warmer weather invites us to go on trips, explore nature, and visit the beautiful corners of our country. The Czech Republic offers countless interesting places – from picturesque villages and historic towns to mountains, forests, and nature reserves. All it takes is to set out on a journey and let yourself be surprised by everything there is to discover.
To make this exploration even more enjoyable, we would like to introduce our new map of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the first day of spring. We created it as inspiration for everyone who loves traveling, planning trips, or marking the places they have visited. The map can serve not only as a practical tool for planning your journeys, but also as a beautiful reminder of all your adventures and experiences.
Featuring the Stezka Českem Trail
Stezka Českem is a unique long-distance hiking trail that follows the borders of the Czech Republic. It offers the opportunity to discover diverse landscapes, mountains, forests, and historic towns that shape the character of our country. The route is divided into a northern and a southern branch and together measures more than two thousand kilometers.
The goal of the project is to inspire people to explore nature and embrace slower travel. Anyone can set out on the trail – experienced hikers as well as people who want to go on just a short multi-day trip. It is not necessary to walk the entire trail at once; many people complete it gradually in individual sections.
The trail passes through some of the most beautiful Czech mountain ranges, such as the Krkonoše, Šumava, and Jeseníky, but also through lesser-known regions that have their own unique charm. Thanks to this, it offers not only stunning views but also peace and a close connection with nature.
Stezka Českem is therefore not just a hiking trail, but also a challenge, an adventure, and a way to discover the Czech Republic from a completely different perspective.
Whether you set out on a short trip into nature, a weekend getaway, or a journey to discover new towns, we hope that spring will bring you many wonderful experiences and plenty of inspiration to travel.
